There seems to be a lot of comments going around about the MoH lineup, in particular the "Industrial" area. I think most of the disenchantment comes from the fact that each sub-genre within Hardcore is segregated. This leads to the need to label the areas as such. This is where my issue arises. They shouldn't have called that area an Industrial area (the same happened last year at Dominator) and then maybe people wouldn't be commenting so much. I do worry though...some people who go to MoH may not know the scene that well, especially if they are young. Those people might be wandering around the event and go into the aforementioned "Industrial" area. They hear some basic, very straightforward music with little or no depth, melody or dynamics and think "oh...this Industrial is not good, I don't like Industrial". So Industrial loses a potential fan. Obviously, the opposite could happen and that person loves the music they hear. But either way, there is a misrepresentation of sub-genres. MoH is a huge event and has a big influence on the scene in terms of exposing people to the music. It's a shame that the full spectrum of Hardcore is not being represented.
Anyway, that's my opinion...see you all at Hardshock!
