Ik denk dat Corey Soljan (Code Black) mijn gevoel het beste verwoord:

Simple answer.. #1 the gimmick of an anthem is over... There is only so much hype you can feel hearing those vocals AGAIN....
#2 when a artists fan hears a new track it is something that is usually in line what what they like, that's why they are fans...
Tho when an artist does an anthem, it is now speaking not only to their fans but to all the people that are waiting for that anthem and some of those people are not fans of their style or act....
Some people have said anthems were more powerful back in the day which is a total load of shit..
Yes I agree that some of the best anthems ever heard to this day were "power of the mjnd, scrap attack and I could list a few more...
But if I listen back to those 2 tracks right now, they are basic as fuck tracks compared to what is being done today...
Fact of the matter is... It was more special back then.. the genre was newer and we were wowed easier... Anthems were more of a rarity and with that gave us more of a feeling already... Now the genre is old and all the tricks have been done... Anthems are for every festival and the whole special vibe is gone...
That's my two cents...
Tbh I dont even know what we are doing anthems for... People don't really care.. they are more amped for the hit track of the moment...
Tho I would say we should keep defqon NL and Qlimax
Elk feest en z'n preparty heeft tegenwoordig een anthem, of zelfs meerdere. Ik vind het echt geen slechte plaat van Frequencerz, maar het speciale is er bij mij al een jaar of vier af...
